> Taking the lead at WASSRA 2012
Stott Hoare was pleased to sponsor and attend the WA State Schools Registrars' Association (WASSRA) Convention 2012 for administrative support staff.
With the theme Take the Lead, the annual WASSRA Convention was held from 22 to 24 August at the Crown Metropole.
"Stott Hoare is proud to have been a long term supporter of WASSRA," said Natalie Williams from the Stott Hoare Education Team.
"We have a strong commitment to Western Australia's schools and the extremely important role they play in our community. Stott Hoare definitely sees the education sector as a priority, and understands the vital importance of IT in developing the future of Western Australian education – and of our children.
"Increasingly, education IT is helping teachers to effectively engage students and improve learning outcomes.
"Of course, WASSRA members involved in the administrative side of education are also an absolutely vital part of our State's education resources, and can use IT to gain significant further benefits by improving efficiencies and reducing costs," said Natalie.
At the WASSRA Convention 2012 over 300 delegates from Western Australia's public education sector heard from guest speakers and presenters and participated in workshops for all levels of administrative support staff on a range of topics including education IT.
The convention included a focus on leadership for those who were eager to develop their skills.
The Stott Hoare Education Team manned a stand, and this was a great opportunity to renew existing acquaintances with education professionals - and make many new ones too.
"Attending the annual WASSRA Conventions is also an excellent way for the Stott Hoare Education Team to keep up-to-date with the issues that are currently important to education professionals," said Natalie Williams.
"Ultimately, that understanding helps the Stott Hoare Education Team keep in touch with education priorities - and consistently deliver the most appropriate - and cost-effective education IT solutions.
"We're already looking forward to 2013."
