As part of our continued support of the Education sector, Stott Hoare is proudly a Gold Sponsor of the 2019 West Australian Technical Support in Schools Association (WATSSA) Conference. The Annual Conference will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 21 – 22 November. There are expected to be more than 400 attendees including WATSSA Members, Network Administrators, Technical Support Officers, ICT Teachers, Managers of Corporate Services and Administrators from many of the major public secondary and primary schools in WA.
Now in its tenth year, the Conference continues to create a fellowship of school-based Network Administrators and Technical Support Officers and provide opportunities for advancement and professional development. Since 2014, the Conference has included a stream for teachers and administrators that provides context and a better understanding of the potential for technology in the classroom.
With the release of the student-centred funding model, schools now have more autonomy in selecting products and services. The WATSSA Conference is the ideal conduit to encourage collaboration between IT businesses and frontline decision makers. In this new era of tight budgets and Independent Public Schools, the relationships schools establish with service providers have even greater significance.
Working in the Education sector for over 25 years, Stott Hoare is dedicated to providing excellent service by truly understanding schools’ unique requirements, offering valuable knowledge and experience, and engaging a talented workforce to design, install and support technology.
As a WA-based organisation, Stott Hoare partners with Lenovo in many schools across the State. We know that from K-12, PCs face a demanding life. Education devices are built to ensure anytime, anywhere learning and priced to fit into a limited IT/parent budget. Lenovo builds to military grade requirements, for products designed to withstand the drops, dings, and spills that are inevitable in any school environment.
WATSSA aims to enhance the professional expertise and status of Technical Support Officers/ Network Administrators and to improve the quality of network administration and management in WA Schools
